Events

There are a number of events that take place across the year:

Coffee Mornings

These take place each term and are an opportunity for parents to get together and socialise with other families, Governors and staff.  Each coffee morning has an informal focus on an area of interest to parents.

Parent Workshops

Parents are invited to attend sessions aimed at sharing school strategies and practice to help deepen understanding of how these impact outcomes for students and how they can be replicated at home to provide consistency and a continuation of the learning journey.

Celebration Assemblies

At the end of each term the school invites families to attend a celebration assembly.  These fun events each have a specific theme and are intended to bring the whole school community together to celebrate the students work.

Sports Day – this is held on the school grounds each July and students’ families are welcome. We have a picnic or BBQ lunch after the sports day, followed by the medal presentation.

Residential trips- All students go on a residential trip in June or July with their class group. The trips involve staying away for 2/3 nights and allow us to assess the students' independent living skills and have fun at the end of the year.

Leavers’ Assembly – this normally takes place in the last week of the Summer Term, in the afternoon.  Students give a brief presentation and receive their leavers' hoodies before enjoying light refreshments with their families and teachers.
