Independent Travel Training

Where suitable, students in Years 10 and 11 are considered for the Independent Travel Training program. If selected, with the assistance of our Family Support Manager as well as parental agreement, the student would follow a comprehensive training schedule. This would include assisted journeys, shadowed journeys and then a staggered introduction of independent journeys each way. This is intended to support the student's progression into adult life and teach them valuable life skills to promote independence and self-sufficiency.
