SECRETARY – Mrs J
GREEN GROUP:
1. Would like some kites to fly in the park. Council agreed this would be nice. Mrs J to see if kites could be made in Art or DT at some point.
2. Would like a bigger trampoline in the playground. Mrs J said one was coming, which we are going to share with New kings School, and we just need to measure up & see where it could fit. Mrs J to ask Jorge.
3. Would like more toys/apparatus in the playground, like a climbing frame. Council said we would need to think where a climbing frame could go and ask New Kings School about this. Mrs J to ask at GSM.
YELLOW GROUP:
1. Had nothing to add and said they were very happy!
PURPLE GROUP:
1. Would like another football club at lunch time but Mr Sullivan was not here. Mrs J said why not ask Mr Jackson if he would run another football club on a day like Tuesday when Mr Sullivan is not here? She will ask at GSM.
2. Would like more Art lessons. Council said there was not room to fit in more lessons but there was lots of Art coming up soon in Expressive Arts week!
BLUE GROUP:
1. Would like more trips to museums. Mrs J will pass this on to GSM
2. Would like Zoe & Jack back for Geography Week. There was a vote between having Zoe & Jack or having workshops, like we had in History Week. The vote was 4 – 4, which was a tie. The Chair had the casting vote and voted for Jack & Zoe. Vote to be rolled out to the whole school next week.
3. Would like to organize more water deliveries as sometimes we run out. Mrs J said there were two problems – sometimes people didn’t tell Mrs Sullivan, so she couldn’t order in time, and the water company only deliver every 4 weeks. Mrs J to take this to the GSM
RED GROUP:
1. Would like Chinese stir fry for lunch, and also wanted prawn salad. The Chair said our school kitchen is not a restaurant!
2. Would like to move the school to Australia!! Council said no way, although they would like to go for a holiday.
FUNDRAISING PROJECT:
1. Council has spent £98 of their £100 budget buying art & craft materials, and all groups have been involved in making Christmas gift tags, decorations, cards and calendars. These will be sold at the Charity Sale in the playground on Thursday 1st December @ 3pm.
2. Council voted to donate the money they raise to the Rabbit School in Cambodia, where Miss Davies is working at the moment.
ACTION:
Mrs J will take all matters agreed/raised by Council to the General Staff Meeting [GSM] on Monday 21st November 2011.
The next Council Meeting, to review the Charity Sale only, will be on
Friday 9th December @ 9.15am
