Learning Support Assistant

Parayhouse is a non-maintained special school, run by a registered charity to provide a specialist education for students from 7 - 16 with speech, language & communication needs, moderate learning difficulties and emotional, social & behavioural needs. We currently serve 12 London Boroughs and have 46 students on roll. We are co-located in part of the Hammersmith & Fulham College, with excellent transport links.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and committed LSA to join our multi-disciplinary team, based in a class of our older and more able students. Much of the formal academic work is carried out in pairs and small groups, and LSAs share in the delivery of the curriculum. Experience of working with students who have a range of challenging behaviours is highly desirable.

This post is available for the start of the Summer Term [16th April 2018], following a successful interview, satisfactory medical questionnaire and good references. The closing date for applications is Monday 19th March, with interviews in that week.

It is highly recommended that potential applicants visit the School prior to applying, to see & understand our collaborative practice.

Parayhouse is committed to safeguarding children and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An advanced DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
