School news

It’s been cold in school this week, especially when the boiler failed, but it is all fixed now.

Gabriel, our Music Teacher

came in today to do a whole school sing-a-long to all the Beauty and the Beast songs – the best version of ‘Be our guest’ you will ever hear - totally lovely!

Ray and Tony our handymen were in school yesterday putting up basket ball hoops, blackboard and mirrors in the outside area.

Today your will find in your child’s homework folder/bag, a large brown envelope.

 This contains the following:

  • List of Christmas activities
  • Beauty and the Beast letter and ticket request
  • Christmas party letter

I would be grateful if you would complete these forms and return them to school asap.

    FUNDRAISING

As part of our fundraising this Christmas the staff would like to collect food for the Shelter and the local food bank.  If you would like to donate any dry goods, tins etc. please send them into school.   We have also been supporting a homeless ex-service man who lives in a cardboard box outside Barons Court Station.

    RAFFLE

I am writing again for your help with the Christmas Raffle. The raffle is one of our annual fundraising events and money raised goes to help pay for Residential Camp and outings that the Students undertake during the year.

Please send in your donations as soon as possible, if you can contribute. We are happy to receive unwanted gifts, items for a Christmas hamper, bottles of wine, chocolates etc.

    Shakespeare School Festival

This was a great success last week.  Members of staff took various students home after the event and during the journey home students were discussing the evening. We thought you might like to hear one of the comments, totally unprompted, from Feyona –

'I liked it when the people were clapping for us.  It made me feel powerful and proud'...

What a testament to the power of an experience like this!

    Lunches

Week beginning 4th December 2017, we will be on week 1 of the lunch menu.   Lunches cost £3.15per day, this can be paid daily, weekly or termly.  If you wish to pay by online banking please call and we will let you have our banking details.
